Our Beliefs
Mission:
Our mission is to follow the Lord Jesus' Great Commission to share His Gospel and make disciples.

Vision:
We want to be a Christ-centered, Bible-believing fellowship of believers who are passionate about sharing God's love with our neighbors, and are committed to growing closer to Christ individually and collectively. We want to be characterized as a loving church whom God can trust to minister to people.

Matthew 28: 18-20
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
God
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
Scripture
We believe in the Word of God - God’s Word is absolute truth and what the Lord says is the final answer to every question. “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Salvation
We believe in Salvation through Christ alone - Salvation is man’s greatest need and God’s greatest gift. It is available to all who will believe. He purchased freedom for everyone and reconciles God and humanity. “This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.” 1 Timothy 2:3-6
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer - “The reason people really don’t pray is because they really do not believe God will answer.” - Jim Cymbala. The purpose of prayer is for us to be conformed to God’s will, not for us to try to conform Him to our’s - “This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” 1 John 5:14
Baptism
We believe in baptism by immersion following the true conversion of one who has received the gift of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This is the model that we find consistently throughout the scriptures.
It is an outward expression of an inward experience/reality. Baptism is an act of obedience that publicly identifies us with Jesus and our new
life in Him. It gives us an opportunity to confess our faith in Jesus publicly.
Why immersion? To be immersed is to symbolically show what happened in the life of a true believer in that you are buried in the water as a picture of dying to the old self and being raised in the resurrection to new life.
Jesus was our ultimate example in that He was baptized by John in obedience to God the Father. Note that Jesus’ baptism was not one of repentance since clearly He had no sin to repent of. It was a public act of obedience. Matthew 3:13-17 | 2 Corinthians 5:21 | Luke 22:42 | Matthew 10:32-33 | Romans 6:1-4 | 2 Corinthians 5:17
Fellowship
We believe in the fellowship of the local church - “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
Discipleship
We believe in training and equipping the local church - through the Word, prayer, fellowship and discipleship we believe in equipping the saints to do the work of the Kingdom of God. “Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
Unity
We believe in the Unity of the Church - as we come together for His purpose and seek His will we believe that the members of the church will be united as one properly functioning body with Jesus Christ as the Head. “I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.”
John 17:21
Sharing the Good News
We believe in reaching the lost for Christ - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 —- “I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.” 1 Corinthians 9:23. It is our desire to equip each Christian to be soul winners that will take the Gospel with them as they go day by day.
